THE NEW
SUPERAUTOMATIC 2025

A STORY ETCHED IN STEEL AND SALTWATER

In 1975, a timepiece surfaced from beneath the cinematic waves—quietly, confidently, and without pretension. It wasn’t a watch chosen for its fame. It became famous for what it stood for: courage, craft, and character.

The Alsta Nautoscaph 'Superautomatic' was worn by Matt Hooper—played by Richard Dreyfuss—in JAWS. But before the screen immortalised it, the Superautomatic was already a tool trusted by those who ventured beyond the shoreline, into deeper waters and wilder horizons.

Half a century later, we bring you not a reissue—but a reimagining.

THE SUPERAUTOMATIC 2025: BUILT FOR WHAT LIES AHEAD

To honour the 50th anniversary of JAWS, Alsta presents the Superautomatic 2025: a Swiss-Made evolution of an icon. Still forged from the same spirit of exploration. Still resolute in its purpose.

But now enhanced for a new era of adventurers.

This is more than an homage. It’s the continuation of a story you’re invited to write with every mile, every dive, every moment that calls for presence and precision.

REFINED CRAFT. REASSURING FAMILIARITY. REIMAGINED DETAIL.

The Superautomatic 2025 remains faithful to its original design DNA—compact and bold, purpose-driven and versatile—but now features significant advancements:

A thinner case profile for a more elegant yet robust wrist presence

An upgraded deployant clasp for improved security and day-long comfort

And at its heart, the Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement, bringing Swiss precision to the legacy

All contained within a 38mm brushed, two-piece stainless steel case, with an engraved caseback, screw-down crown, and a unidirectional bezel for dual timekeeping—proving that beauty and function can still co-exist in perfect balance.

CRAFTED FOR EXPLORERS, DREAMERS, AND DOERS

Whether you wear it on the modernised Hooper “porthole” bracelet—a nod to the original Speidel from the 1970s—or on the rugged Orca rubber strap, this watch is more than a mechanical instrument. It’s a companion.

For underwater discovery. For landlocked wanderlust. For those who understand that time isn’t something you watch—it’s something you live through.

Every detail—from the matte black dial and C3 Super-LumiNova lume, to the domed sapphire crystal—is engineered to last, to endure, and to remind you that style never needs to shout when substance speaks louder.
